This museum is part of UM’s Literature, Science and Arts College.The collection of art and other exhibits began in 1837, and the museum’s current location was constructed and finished in 1928. The museum is 22,000 square feet in area, and shares its space with three other research museums on UM’s campus. In addition to the rolling exhibits and some of the best commercial playground equipment Michigan has, which change from month to month, there are four permanent exhibits that are part of this museum: anthropology displays, the Michigan Wildlife Gallery, the Hall of Evolution, and the Geology Displays.

The farmers markets in Kerrytown sell a wide variety of locally-grown produce and other items, including farm crops, baked goods, and more - all of which are sure to delight both visitors and locals alike.

In the Matthaei Botanical Gardens, one can find display gardens such as the Garfield Children’s Garden, as well as several trails for walking, wildlife viewing, and bird watching. This conservatory is over 10,000 square feet, and features several houses full of plants and other botanical items.
